Commiphora Mukul (Guggul) – 500mg 90 capsules

Commiphora mukul also known as Guggul is a small, thorny plant that is native to Arabia and India. The stems of the plant produce a yellowish resin called guggul. The active ingredient of the gum resin is a lipid soluble steroid also known as guggulsterones E and Z, which is a very effective compound for controlling blood cholesterol and triglycerides level.

Guggul is most effective not only in lowering the bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, but also improve the level of the good cholesterol (HDL).*

Human studies showed, in a 4 to 12 week period, that Guggul lowers the cholesterol (LDL) level in blood by 14-27% and triglycerides level by 22-30%, and at the same time, it raises levels of HDL cholesterol (the good cholesterol) by 16%.

Dosage: Take one capsule three times per day, preferably with meals.

One capsule contains 500mg of Commiphora Mukul dried extract that is standardized to

5% (25mg) Guggulsterones E & Z.
